Wednesday afternoons are great. Especially ones like today, when the rain patters on the window, coming down in cold sheets, reminding you that there are better places to be than outside.
Like, for example, inside. In a library. Surrounded by books, with a cup of tea, or coffee, or chai, or whatever you drink in your hands. Notebooks and normal books open, words everywhere, the sound of nature’s lullaby on your roof, and nowhere to be but here.
That’s my ideal Wednesday Afternoon, and that’s where I hope this finds you.
This Substack (ideally) would bottle up that feeling and delivery it for free to your inbox every Wednesday. However, since it’s difficult to package things like weather and sentiment, it will simply do its very best to replicate it using words. Flash fiction words, discussions about how to write better words, quotes from other authors about writing words… you get the picture.
It’s about words. And writing. And marrying the two of them together to create fantastic pieces, well-planned stories, and little drops of fiction that will sweep your readers off their feet.
It’s small. Bite-sized pieces of fiction to devour quickly and get back to writing your own words. Tiny thoughts and helpful hints to develop your own craft.
And it’s free.
Thanks for joining me! May your Wednesdays be comfortable, rainy, and filled with words.
