One More 2023 Thursday Special

And a few good things!

Hello, dear readers!

It’s a quick one today. We made it to the end of the year, yay! What good things happened this year? Happy memories? Achievements, opportunities, proud moments?

Here’s a few of mine:

• Managed to keep this Substack alive for almost a year. (It’s a little bit like growing a plant. Lavish it with plenty of attention, then leave it alone and let it do its thing.)

• Started and almost finished The Lost Circus! We’re still a few chapters away from The End, but it looks promising.

• Wrote a lot of words, and some of them were good.

• Improved as a writer and editor. I’m getting better at throwing out words I don’t need.

• Realized that sharing stories isn’t as scary as I was afraid it would be, whether with friends or family or strangers on the internet.

  

  I’m not either one of these people. Looks fun though, doesn’t it?
