For me this falls into acts of "Write an opening, even if you have no idea what it is." I think about such things a lot. Some day I need to start thinking about endings and work backwards 😆
I’ve heard there are gifted people who can start at the end and write backwards, but they remain as unicorns to me: mysterious and mythical. So are the ones who can write scenes out of order and then stitch them back again.
I see a romance. Her cat dies and the widower who just moved in next door helps her bury it…
Could go in many different directions. That's what I like about these short pieces so much promise just have to determine where want to go with it.
